Marion Tampon-Lajarriette's Museum of a memory is inspired by Chris Marker's «The jetty». A « photo-novel » movie entirely based on images-souvenirs (a story of a man sent back to his past, through his memory, in the purpose of changing the future). The artist produces a flash back herself by filming again, shot after shot, the main scene where the protagonists met in the Natural History Museum. Instead of a black and white slideshow there are video shots with evaporating colours and a hesitating stillness. A face to face then takes place and unveils the fluctuant frontiers between man and animal, moving and unmoving, life and death, past and future, real and fantasy, memory and forgiveness, original and copy.
