Warren Hack is educated at the San Francisco State University, where he has his BA and MA in film. He spent eight years working as an editor and sound designer for Harcourt Brace Films. From 1982 he has worked as a teacher at the SF State University at the Cinema department. In 1985 he got his own sound studio, where he specializes in Sound Design and Post Production Services. He also works as a musician, where he plays dobro and guitar.

He has been awarded with following awards:
