Carelli is the founder of Video nas Aldeias/Video in the Villages (VNA), a proyect started on 1987 with the Centro de Trabalho Indigenista (CTI) in Sao Paulo. Carelli's work in VNA has been instrumental in the development of indigenous videos in Brazil. VNA productions have won numerous international awards.
