Maria Cristina Carbonell graduated in 1987 in Fashion Design for Theater at the Fashion Institute of Technology in New York, where she also studied drawing at the Art Student League (1985/87). Between 1982 and 1984 she studied Drawing at the Museum of Fine Arts and Microbiology at Pine Manor College in Boston. From 1988 for several internships marble sculpture in the South Cemetery, Caracas. In 1998 she developed field work as a sculptor in marble, Carrara, Italy.

Since 1989 participates in exhibitions and has won several awards. Highlights:
