Born 1921 in Krefeld (GER); studied sculpture at the Kunstakademie Düsseldorf (1947-1954); produced drawings, three-dimensional objects, spatial installations and actions as part of the international Fluxus movement; most prominent contemporary German artist. Died 1986 in Düsseldorf (GER).
