Conceptual british artist who made most of his carreer in Canada, Cameron is recognized as one of the most important exponents of canadian conceptual art His work has been shown extensively in Canada, notably in the exhibition Divine Comedy organized jointly by the Nationa Gallery of Canada and the Winnipeg Art Gallery, which travelled across Canada in 1990. In 2004 he received a Governor General's Award in Visual and Media Arts.
