Curtis Harrington is mostly known for being a Hollywood director, where he among other projects has directed episodes of Dynasty, Wonder Woman, The Twilight Zone and Charlie?s Angels for television. But besides that, he was the director of several horror films and experimental avante garde films, which he especially directed in the post years of the 2.nd World War.

Harrington was born and grew up in Los Angeles, where he also later attended the university and had his film studies degree from the University of California, Los Angeles. He began his career as a film critic and working as assistance for the Paramount pictures, but quickly he started to make his own movies. Later he also appeared as an actor in some of the movies.

He is considered one of the forerunners of New Queer Cinema.
