One of the earlier supporters and pionieers of Video Art. With a background in theater, film, video and T.V. he is been very involved in finding new ways and uses of video, he introduced its use into the theater stage. He also co-funded with Skip Sweeney an artist run center named Video Free America, where they promoted Video Art, installations and alternative mediums for the arts .

His most well known work is "The Continuing Story of Carel and Ferd", where from 1970 to 1972 he documented the private life of an unusual American couple. Carel was a porn actress and a filmmaker and Ferd was a bisexual junkie. This is a unique film where the boundaries between the real and the fiction, the private and the public, culture and counterculture, are blurred in a way that had never been done before.
