A well-established Moroccan artist Amina Benbouchta started painting at a young age in a rather conventional way as she began to learn lithography and the traditional abstract drawing in Paris (whilst simultaneously studying anthropology in Canada). After graduation, however, she came back to art and has since then exhibited locally and internationally. Her current work primarily reflects her personal metaphysics on the edge of 'the spiritual', a quest for meaning and also for the essence of painting overall.
