Agnes Meyer-Brandis, coming from a background of both sculpture and new media art, is the founder of the Forschunsgfloss / Research Raft for Subterranean Reefology - a small institute whose chief aim is to explore and confirm subterranean phenomena and unknown lifeforms.

Meyer-Brandis's work is at the experimental edge of art and science, exploring the zone between fact and fiction, fantasy and technology, and is exhibited and recognised internationally.

She is known to incorporate exploration tools or devices for her installations which then enable interactive participation by the viewing public as the installations provide a unique experience in which we can confront commonly known realities and put them into question through an intense sensory experience.
