The animator Faith Hubley is known worldwide for her drawings of funny and yet serious style, making movies related to children and grownups. Her films , concerns of women, children and the environment influenced Hubley as an artist and communicator. She created works together with her husband, animator John Hubley, until his death, and with the assistance of her children, animator Emily Hubley and singer Georgina Hubley. The Hubleys won three Oscars for short subject animation.
At the time of her death in 2001, Faith Hubley had completed 25 solo films and was a senior critic in the Department of Art at Yale University, where she taught a class on storyboarding.
