Born in 1935. Worked in film, video, photography, installation, writing and performance since the 60s. Was awarded a Guggenheim Fellowship in 1997; currently an Emeritus professor at the University of California, San Diego. In 1999, honored with a retrospective of her work at the Los Angeles County Museum of Art. Lives in San Diego.
