Working on installations, video and documentary film, the Swedish artist Annika Eriksson focuses on the portraits of groups, asking each individual member to present him- or herself in front of the camera. Consecutively, each person introduces himself, following a given pattern. By this means, Eriksson reveals the individual use of the possibilty of self-representation and at the same time, investigates the relation between the collective and the individual. The employees of a big reinsurance company are presented in Arbeitswelt. A handicapped dance company, an orchestra, a fire-brigade or the staff of a Swedish Museum are other collectives the artist worked with.
