Max Almy is a United States based film and video artist who began doing video installations in the mid 70's; her works were influenced by the experimental theatre and performance scene in San Francisco. After working at One Pass, a video production house in San Francisco, she started to incorporate video synthesis and rapid-fire editing into her work.
Almy has become one of the few video artists to make the transition from doing realistic-time, performance-orientated pieces to orchestrating technologically sophisticated, fast paced narratives.
