Manuel Graf was born in Búhl and now lives and works in Dússeldorf. From 1999 to 2005 he studied art at the Kunstakademie Dússeldorf.
In his videoworks and sculptures Manuel Graf immerses himself in all aspects of architecture, be them physical, psychological, ideological or spiritual. He his interested in the lasting fascination of an "old idea". In his work 1000 Jahre sind ein Tag (1000 years like a day) 2005 he lets architecture from different periods travel through a universal space which creates a simultaneous meeting of them in time.
